The Asian American Institute (AAI) is organizing supporters to speak on behalf of Asian American youth and children in Chicago Public Schools. At the next Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) meeting on Thursday, January 17, 2008, community members are welcome to give two-minute testimony on critical needs and issues that are affecting Asian American youth in schools. The ISBE controls the funding allocation for all public schools from elementary to high school. Individuals interested in testifying will prepare a written statement about what issue(s) must be addressed to improve the education of our youth.
