The Asian American Institute (AAI) is a pan-Asian, non-partisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, whose mission is to empower the Asian American (AA) community through advocacy by utilizing research, education, and coalition-building.  AAI is the only multi-issue pan-Asian organization advocating for civil rights and social justice for Asian Americans (AA) in Chicago, Illinois and the Midwest.

Our current program areas include affirmative action, hate crimes and discrimination, immigration reform, language access, redistricting, Illinois state budgeting, and voting rights.· We accomplish our work through legal and policy advocacy, community organizing, leadership development, and research and education.

In the past year, we have grown our staff and expanded our office space. Due to our recent growth spurt, we are in need of office supplies. We greatly appreciate any help you can give us in fulfilling these needs.
