On Thursday, November 3rd, AAI hosted its annual Fall Reception to kick off its 2012 Annual Campaign and 20th Anniversary with over 100 attendees.

Tuyet Le, AAI's Executive Director, shared AAI's vision and plans for the coming year and introduced its new and growing staff. Mike Chu, AAI's Board chair announced its $1 million challenge grant over the next few years. A generous donor will match ANY new or increased contribution to AAI from corporations, foundations and individuals. To date, 100% of AAI's staff and Board have given to AAI.

Our collective donations, whether it is one dollar or ten thousand dollars, shows the value the AA community places on promoting social, economic and political equity for all Asian Americans in Illinois.

AAI is especially honored that State Senator Heather Steans, and State Representatives Greg Harris and
La Shawn K. Ford joined this event.
