Asian American Political Empowerment Initiative: Holding Public Officials Accountable to the Asian American Community: A Report Card on Key Elected Officials

Released 3/2002 - In January 2002, survey questionnaires were mailed out to Illinois Senators and Representatives, Constitutional Officers, the Cook County Board President and State's Attorney, and other officials whose Asian American constituents represented 5% or more of their districts. In March 2002, the Asian American Institute convened a nonpartisan, ethnically diverse panel of Asian Pacific American community leaders to assess the officials' responses and prepare report cards.
